Pertubuhan Akitek Malaysia (Malaysian Institute of Architects) or PAM recently held their annual dinner over at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Center. Attendees witnessed the handing over of the Presidency post to Ar. Dr. Tan Loke Mun and also the announcement of the PAM Architectural Photography Competition. YB Dato Sri Samy Vellu was the guest of honour for the night.

Pikom's Annual Dinner and ICT Awards was joined with the Global Public Policy Conference (GPPC) 2005 this year and was held at the Mandaring Oriental on 14 September 2005. Graced by Science, Technology and Innovation Minister, YB Datuk Seri Dr. Jamaludin Jarjis along with all the industry leaders, the night was truly a showcase for the GPPC delegates and speakers from over 31 countries around the world.

The Kuala Lumpur Mountain Bike Carnival 2005 was held at Kiara Hills on 11 September 2005 and it saw a heated competition amongst mountain bike enthusiasts. A carnival ran concurrently with the event and saw thousands of people thronging the booths and activities that were held there, including free heath checks, lots of vendor stalls selling all sorts of health related products. The stage area, where I worked, also had a back to back list of activities with talks by specialist consultants, fitness demos, and even Akademi Fantasia dropped by.

Gamuda Berhad's 29th annual dinner was a blast! The people were ready to really party, and party they did at their annual dinner "Night Of The Stars 2005". Held at the Kuala Lumpur Hilton on 10 September 2005, it was truly a night to remember as the stars rolled out in droves.

This year's Institut Pereka Dalaman Malaysia (Malaysian Interior Designer's Institute) annual dinner along with the Malaysian Interior Designer Awards (MIDA) 2005 was held at the newly opened Kuala Lumpur Convention Center on 02 September 2005. A star studded event, with lots to eat, drink and be merry about.

The IT4All Business showcased held quite a few pleasant surprises for those who turned up at Mid Valley Megamall's Centre Court. Held from 24 to 28 August 2005, the showcase had some of the latest technologies available in the market to date, Tours were held around the exhibition area to take participants through the digital office along with special talks on different accounting software along with the ever increasing virus threats were held. Conducted by consultants of the respective software developers, the general public came in droves to attend and win some great prizes as well.

Guinness Anchor Berhad recently held their sales conference over at Royal Adelphi Hotel in Seremban on 16 August 2005, and the dinner, themed "Sports Night", held at the end of the two day conference was a real riot! Anchored by me and Angel Wong Chui Ling, the attendees had a great (albeit quite drunk) time!

What a launch it was! Schering Plough's Aerius was launched in style at the Le Meridien on 06 March. With the burst of a balloon wall, it looks set to take the "one airway, one disease" concept to even greater heights than ever.

- Another year, another round of the Malaysian International Furniture Fair (MIFF) starting from 01 March at the  Pan Pacific Hotel, Kuala Lumpur for the launching & 02 March 2005 at the Grand Ballroom, Legend Hotel, Kuala Lumpur for the buyers night. This year's theme for the buyer's night was "Mulan Rouge", a play of words to combine both East & West elements together.

- Fuji Xerox held a thank you dinner for their key operators on the 25th of February 2005 at Crowne Plaza Mutiara, Kuala Lumpur. Guests were entertained to a night of magic, colour and lots and lots of fun. Awards were also presented that night to some of those who have done their bit for Fuji Xerox as well.

- KLM Cargo held their regional meeting and training over at Hyatt Saujana over in Subang on 22nd February. The day was filled with team building events, but the highlight of the night was the evening's function where they ate, drank and held a great competition amongst the different zones (Asia, Japan etc) which saw different groups battling it on for some fantastic prizes. Also present were some guest from Air France as well.

- The Transmile Group is transforming... as they reach of for A New Horizon. The management staff annual dinner was graced by their Chairman, YAB Tun Dr Ling Liong Sik and also the Minister of Transport, YB Datuk Seri Chan Kong Choy, along with their wives. All in all, a glittering affair and everyone had a sneak peek into what's ahead for the Transmile group. The future looks promising and bright for everyone.

- Another great year for another great company, Muhibbah Engineering Berhad had their regular annual dinner at Klang Executive Club over in Bukit Raja, Klang. This time round, the lucky draw prizes were many, and the revelry was high. There wasn't any show, but the games managed to entertain the staff and everyone was feeling good about that night and also for the coming year ahead as well.

- Delivering on time and more is not easy, but the management and staff of DHL proved that they are also a fun bunch who are more than willing to party. Over 800 persons attended this year's annual dinner held at Crowne Plaza Mutiara KL, and the night was a tremendous success with a great take-off to boot.

- Pfizer's Red Hot Night was certainly red hot. It's strange that I should have hosted the last two shows and red seems to be the "in" colour of choice. Still, after watching Lillian Too on TV the other day, I can understand why people are looking to red as a colour that brings in fire energy...

- The Malaysian International Travel Fair had a soft launch over at Zouk on the 24th of January. The bigwigs from the travel industry along with some people from the Tourism Malaysia attended the function. This is the precursor to the actual fair which will be held in June this year at MIECC and it promises to be something that will rival the other travel fairs held during the year as well...

- SEG International Berhad or SEGI for short had a wild time. Being the premier leading education company in Malaysia with their Systematic schools and others as well, the party was a wild time with the management staff on 14 January 2005. Even more so, since their big boss couldn't be with them this year - and everyone let their hair down...

- Donaldson Malaysia launched their brand new Mobile Training Center at Glenmarie Pan Pacific on 14 January 2005. The launch was a simple event, but this marks a big milestone for the company since Malaysia is the only other country in the world apart from the US to have this Mobile Training Center.

- Petra Perdana's "A dazzling night in Red" certainly was dazzling. Everyone came dressed in red, and accompanied by a ballroom that was totally in red, it certainly gave a lot of cameras problems with their white balances... Still, the evening was a blast, with Leonard Tan and Vishnu entertaining the crowd.

- Hewlett Packard honoured their distributors and dealers recently at the Shangri-La Hotel in "A night of stars". Everyone came dressed in formal wear, making the night very dignified indeed... The dinner was good, and the entertainment were all specially flown in from as far as India and Australia!

- Microsoft's Gold Night, and what a night it was. Lots to eat, drink and party - plus the BIG ticket items up for grabs including a brand new Honda 750cc superbike. About 400 persons showed up at Dragon, formerly known as Bar Med over in Mont Kiara and it was fun during the bidding process, plus the shows as well.

She is HOT! And at the recent Gamuda Bhd's "Nite of the stars" Camelia showed everyone why she's still as fantastic as ever.

I could sing her songs by heart - That's Francissca Peter (Click on name for website) at the IPDM dinner and MIDA 2005 recently in KL Convention Center.

All smiles - along with Angel Wong Chui Ling who co-hosted the Guinness Anchor Berhad's sales conference dinner with me in Seremban

That's my old buddy - Chan Fong, who popped by to take part in the Tag Heuer Formula One Racing Championship at Mid Valley Megamall recently.

Around the World - DHL's annual dinner saw this bunch of Egyptians opening the night for them. It was just the start to a fun filled evening...

What an honour... Standing next to YM Datuk Tengku Ibrahim Petra. Executive Chairman & CEO of Petra Perdana Berhad during his company's function recently.
